This position is 12 month live-in (apartment) staff position and requires 24-hour availability for emergencies/questions for the apartment complexes owned and operated by the University. This position is responsible for responding and providing on-call support services as needed. The position oversees the lease agreements for the apartments; damages, lost keys, etc. for all residence halls and apartment units; assists the Assistant Director in managing and coordinating maintenance of all residential facilities; and is responsible for maintaining the physical assets of all of the apartment complexes. In conjunction with the Assistant Director and the Residential Environmental Services Supervisor, this position also coordinates environmental services requests and summer cleaning projects. The position is expected to work collaboratively with the Maintenance Superintendent and the Grounds Supervisor. This position will also conduct tours of the apartments; inspect all residence halls and apartment complexes; assist the Assistant Director with the check-in and check-out procedures in the apartments; assists with the planning, coordinating, and supervising of the apartment reclaim process, and serve as a liaison with the Office of University Events for camps and conferences during the summer. Additionally, this position performs various light maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the apartment community; handles repairs and improvements of vacant apartments for a market-ready status, completes light maintenance on occupied apartments, and alerts proper personnel on major maintenance issues.

Minimum qualifications include: bachelor’s degree required; prior residence hall live-in experience as either student staff or as a professional is required; and one to three years of direct facilities and/or maintenance-related experience is required.  Maintenance-related certifications are preferred.
