To help support the work of the University we have an immediate opening for a Development Coordinator.  The Development Coordinator reports to the Director of Annual Giving.

This position will work closely with the Director of Annual Giving to carry out the annual solicitation strategy to achieve Annual Giving goals for Chatham. The Development Coordinator will be responsible for drafting appeal content to help the office reach yearly donor participation and dollar goals. The Development Coordinator will also manage all Phonathon solicitation strategies and recruit and train student employees.  The Coordinator will also administer development office processes, including pledge fulfillment and check logging functions as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Eligible candidates must have a strong writing background to assist the Director of Annual Giving with drafting appeal content to increase donor participation at all levels.
  • Coordinates student phonathon, hiring and managing student workers to reach annual dollar goals for the program.
  • Responsible for coordinating monthly pledge fulfillment process and for logging donation checks on a daily basis.
  • Support the Director of Annual Giving as well as other development teammates in other duties and projects as assigned to meet the goals of the Development office.
  • Some evening and weekend work will be required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of experience with a track record in fundraising or a related field in sales and marketing, as well as a commitment to the value of higher education and the mission of an institution.
