Description of Position
The Health Science department at Diablo Valley College is seeking a pool of qualified applicants for possible temporary part-time teaching assignments. These positions are filled on an as needed basis and are on-going recruitment. Assignments may include day, evening and weekend courses.
The assignment involves teaching of Allied Health courses. These courses may include topics such as medical terminology, Introduction to Health Careers, or First Aid and CPR. Courses taught would be relevant to all allied health students and would not be specific to one discipline, practice area, or treatment setting.

Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience
The department is hiring adjunct faculty in discipline of Health Care Ancillaries (Medical assisting, hospice worker, home care aide, certified nurse aide, health aide, ward clerk, central service technology, childbirth educator, primary care associate, massage therapy). Minimum Qualifications are: any bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience; OR any associate degree and six years of professional experience; OR, hold a California Community College Instructor's Credential in the discipline area; OR, the equivalent.*
