The State University of New York, Buffalo State seeks candidates for the position of Vice President for Student Affairs.


Required Qualifications:

Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution; history of progressive leadership in student affairs; demonstrated ability to balance the complexity of the areas reporting to student affairs; knowledge of student retention strategies; effective written and oral communication skills; demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of constituencies, including students, parents, faculty, and alumni; understanding of the regulatory environment for student affairs; experience managing both human and financial resources with transparency and sensitivity; willingness to engage in a strenuous schedule that often includes weekend and evening events; a record of commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.


Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. or other terminal degree; experience in assessment and accreditation; an active record of community engagement.
