Unit Job Summary: The Senior Associate Director is an integral part of The University of Chicago Booth School of Business (Chicago Booth) Full-time MBA Admissions team. In conjunction with the Director, Admissions Marketing, this leadership role will plan and ensure effective execution of short and long-term strategic marketing plans that advance the goals and objectives of the program. Additionally, fully participate in all aspects of the MBA recruitment and selection process. Broadly, the Senior Associate director is responsible for the following: - Develop and ensure execution of annual marketing, communications and PR plan, aligned with their department's objectives; including analysis, integration of key insights, metrics, and learnings from across a range of tactics (e.g. website, blog, social, online chats, email etc.). - Manage awareness, engagement, and conversion activities, while working to guide audiences toward application and matriculation. Ongoing evaluation and performance reporting with optimization recommendations based on performance. - Oversee team of three direct reports, responsible for creative, content, and communications. - Develop and leverage a deep understanding of the target audience(s) to create insights and guide go-to-market strategies and plans. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Partner on marketing strategy development and overall positioning (voice, tone, message) that shapes and aligns end-to-end communications across various demographics. Effectively market across proper channels (i.e. email, social media, video, etc.), and develop new opportunities for target audiences to engage Chicago Booth, both physically and virtually - ensuring message is differentiating and consistent with overall Booth brand. - Develop and execute a broad communications plan for guiding prospective students towards engagement activities and application submissions. Nurturing activities to include current and new initiatives (information sessions, chats, webinars, class visits, new events, partnerships, advertising, list buying, etc.) - Conduct MBA recruitment, evaluation and yield activities. Duties include: being "on call" to address in-person inquiries, conducting presentations, interviewing candidates and evaluating applications, travel and planning, participating in the execution of on-campus, off-campus, and digital recruitment efforts, conducting interviews, reading and evaluating applications, and mentoring graduate Admissions Fellows. Attention to detail and timeliness are important with all aspects of evaluation. - Actively participate and contribute to the successful execution of on-campus programming geared toward early career pipeline development, prospective students, admitted students, and alumni. - Develop and manage the annual marketing plan; secure budget and approval for the annual and manage to the budget - Work with additional business units on a number of fronts: -- Act as a liaison on campaign development and execution; develop marketing objectives, strategies, and tactics. -- Responsibility for program web presence; ensuring they accurately reflect the state of the program and liaising with Central Marketing for changes and updates as needed. -- Participate as the partner lead on cross-department initiatives. -- Identify synergies between individual departments and research centers - Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, top competitor's brand positioning, key messages and industry trends.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in a marketing, business, or communications related area preferred.

Unit Experience: Minimum six years of experience in a marketing/communications position required. Digital marketing experience, including social media experience preferred.

Unit Job Function Competencies: Demonstrated command of marketing strategies and tactics required. Strong business writing skills .and good creative writing skills required. Ability to decipher marketing analytics and research for strong insights required. Excellent analytical skills required. Excellent presentation skills required. Familiarity with Higher education and higher education marketing preferred.
