The Princeton Neuroscience Institute has a Research Specialist I position available with Professor Michael Berry. The successful applicant will be an energetic, self-directed learner with a strong background in optical imaging methods, previous research experience in neuroscience, and familiarity with Matlab.

Applications should include a cover letter, a CV, and a list of at least two potential referees. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled. This is a one-year term position with the possibility of renewal based on funding and performance.


Responsibilities include conducting 2-photon optical imaging experiments with awake, head-fixed mice, mouse behavioral experiments, and analysis of this data. The research specialist will collaborate with postdoctoral research fellows in the lab on specific scientific projects related to the tests of temporal sequence processing in the primary visual cortex.


A bachelors or masters degree in neuroscience is required, along with previous research experience involving electrophysiology methods.
