Instructor, ESL Program, Department of English (R-0294)
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Instructor in the English as a Second Language Program, 9-month position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (1) Masters degree in ESL, EFL, TESL, TEFL, or TESOL; (2) one year of experience teaching ESL; (3) ability to communicate clearly in standard American English with non-native speakers; (4) strong oral and written communication skills; and (5) a demonstrated commitment to student success.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (1) Experience with student recruitment; and (2) an active scholarly agenda.
RANK: Instructor (non-tenure track).
APPOINTMENT DATE: August 10, 2017, or as negotiated.

One of the undergraduate degrees is the B.A. in global business English, and one of the concentrations in the M.A. degree is TESL/TEFL. The department offers classes on campus, through the Virtual College, and on partner campuses in China.
