Visiting Assistant Professor (Mathematics)
The Department of Mathematics at the University of the Pacific invites applications for a visiting Assistant Professor position in mathematics or applied mathematics beginning Fall 2017. Applicants should have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate education and must have demonstrated experience successfully working with diverse student populations. The position carries a teaching load of five courses for the year (3/2 semester load).
The Department of Mathematics consists of 11 full-time faculty who provide coursework in mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics for our 50 math & applied math majors, and for many other majors requiring mathematics.
The University of the Pacific is a comprehensive, student-centered, private university with its main campus located in Stockton, CA. The Department of Mathematics is a part of the College of the Pacific which offers programs in humanities, fine arts, and social and natural sciences. Pacific’s Stockton campus further contains Schools of Engineering & Computer Science, Education, Business, Pharmacy, International Studies, and Music.
