The Curriculum and Learning Solutions Division seeks an Online Learning Technology Specialist to serve Graduate School USA’s mission, learners, products, and partners. This individual will provide excellent customer service and information technology skills to support faculty and online learners in asynchronous classes housed in our Learning Management system (Blackboard) and Adobe Connect training sessions and webinars. The candidate will support Remote Classroom initiative that provides online seats in face-to-face classes. Additional responsibilities will include developing learning objects and multimedia for online learning programs using a variety of software.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as Blackboard Administrator to manage and maintain our LMS
• Manage all technical aspects of the LMS including troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring courses run smoothly, and updating software to be current
• Serve as Blackboard point of contact to online students and instructors
• Coordinate with curriculum and project managers to prepare and run new and existing online courses
• Track course completions, maintain Excel spreadsheets, and update student records database
• Manage student and faculty accounts in Blackboard
• Monitor and respond to Online Helpdesk phone calls and email requests regarding technical issues in synchronous and asynchronous programs
• Prepare and support Remote Classroom courses – coordinate course materials including PowerPoints, Participant Guide, and Handouts and upload to online classroom.
• Work with instructors in advance and monitor class to support smooth course delivery of Remote Classroom courses
• Serve as technical director for Adobe Connect training sessions and webinars – upload course materials, collaborate with instructors and presenters
• Conduct studio recordings and develop a variety of multimedia projects
• Work with Instructional Designers to develop learning objects and graphics for online courses
• Train internal users on Blackboard functions and tools
• Perform other mission-critical duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
• Experience with web-conferencing software (e.g. Adobe Connect) and LMS (e.g. Blackboard) required
• Certificates – A+, Network+ preferred
• Experience developing online learning objects using a variety of software
• 3 years relevant experience required
