Visiting Lecturer, Chemistry
The University of Central Florida (UCF) Chemistry Department is seeking applications for a non-tenure earning, renewable (contingent upon available funding), visiting lecturer position for teaching general, organic and biochemistry courses. This position will have an anticipated start date of August 8, 2017.
All candidates will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level and provide service to the university, department and professional organizations.
UCF, located in Orlando, is a leading, fast-growing, research-intensive metropolitan university with a diverse student body of more than 64,000 students. The Chemistry Department includes 38 faculty and has productive academic programs including the Chemistry Ph.D., Chemistry M.S., Forensic Science M.S., and ACS-accredited B.S. programs in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Forensic Chemistry, and Forensic Biochemistry. Our combined undergraduate Chemistry majors number over 600 students and much of our undergraduate curriculum are required courses for many other majors.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Chemistry or a related science from an accredited institution by the time of hire, and experience teaching large classes.
