The Cotsakos College of Business, accredited by AACSB, invites applications for a non-tenure track one-year temporary appointment at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor in Accounting, in the Department of Accounting and Law beginning September 1, 2017.
An earned doctorate in Accounting at the time of hire is required for the rank of Assistant Professor. ABDs or candidates with a master’s degree and CPA with substantial recent industry experience will be considered at the time of hire for the rank of Instructor. For candidates with doctorates earned more than five years ago, significant achievement in scholarly output (including peer-reviewed journal publications and/or significant recent industry experience related to the field of teaching) is also required. The regular teaching responsibility will include four classes per semester and candidates are expected to be able teach intermediate and advanced accounting in addition to introductory accounting courses. The ability to teach auditing is preferred.
