Serve as Assistant Director of Individual Events in a nationally competitive speech program. Candidates should be prepared to coach and travel to tournaments and to teach the college-wide required introductory oral communication course; with opportunities to teach in an area of specialization. Position responsibilities include student advisement and participation in department and campus committees. This position is for 1-3 years with the possibility of renewal. Rank is dependent on qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a master’s degree in communication studies, individual events coaching experience and teaching experience. Applicants with graduate assistantships in teaching and/or coaching are encouraged to apply. A philosophy in sympathy with the aims and objectives of a liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America is necessary.
