Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Residential Life and Title IX Deputy is a 12-month live-in position. The Assistant Director of Residential Life and Title IX Deputy will, in conjunction with the Senior Director of Residential Services, provides supervision and management of four to five Residence Directors. They will provide administrative and management oversight of all facets of on-campus student housing and residential programs, including operation of the residential facilities in their areas, overall student development programs and will serve as part of an emergency on-call rotation. They will also act as a Title IX deputy in conjunction with the Campus' Title IX Coordinator, investigating reports of sexual and interpersonal/gender based violence and assisting with community education.

The Assistant Director of Residential Life and Title IX Deputy reports to the Senior Director of Residential Services and is responsible for the training, supervision and evaluation of Residence Directors and Resident Assistants in their areas of campus. The Assistant Director will assist in development and delivery of trainings in all aspects of professional and student staff training including emergency response, conflict resolution, programming, and community facilitation. They will provide leadership for the Residence Hall Association and other Residence Life committees as assigned. Will be a member of Residential Services Leadership team.

This Assistant Director will lead in the development, delivery and management of special period's operations including academic breaks and summer housing. In addition, the successful candidate will also work with the Campus' Title IX Coordinator with the development, delivery and management of Title IX training for the campus community and bystander education.


  • Baccalaureate degree in Higher Education Administration, Higher Education Leadership, Organizational Leadership, Public Administration, Counseling or other related field required.
  • At least 2 years of experience directly related to higher education, emphasis on residential life and Title IX, advocacy, or bystander training.
  • Experience with Title IX investigations, bystander education, and community education on issues related to sexual misconduct.
  • Experience leading professional teams or programs in higher education.
  • Experience with leading selection and training of both professional and student staff.
  • Experience with use of Banner or similar data management systems.
  • Strong work ethic with demonstrated collaborative and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communicator in both oral and written communication.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Higher Education Leadership, Organizational Leadership, Public Administration, Counseling or other related field.
  • Experience with Green dot bystander intervention programming.
