Neurobiology


The Glickfeld Lab (Duke Department of Neurobiology) is looking for a Research Technician II to assist our team in the study of how neuronal circuits in the visual cortex support perception and guide behavior.

Work performed will include:
  • Animal husbandry
  • Small animal surgeries
  • Collection physiological data using optogenetics and/or calcium imaging
  • Data analysis and presentation of results at weekly lab meetings


This is a great opportunity to gain research experience before application to graduate or medical school. The ideal candidate will have experience handling animals, computer programming skills, and a neuroscience background. An inquisitive mind is a must.
