RESEARCH SPECIALIST C
Duties: Research Specialist C will focus on immunological projects in the laboratory. This work will focus on preterm birth and consequences of preterm birth, specifically fetal brain injury. The research specialist should be able to design and perform experiments to address the role of immunological pathways in disease pathogenesis. Duties include: bacterial culture and preparation and microbial assay development; molecular techniques for quantification of mRNA, microRNAs, DNA and protein; primary cell isolation and culture, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry and functional assay development. Assist in survival surgeries, tissue harvesting and tissue processing for downstream molecular applications. Data analysis and presentation.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
