Job Description

The Department of Justice Studies invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor rank, who is a specialist in penology. The successful candidate will teach Research Methods, Statistics, and Criminology, as well as wide-range of undergraduate penology relating courses, and Justice Systems required concentration courses. We are particularly interested in candidates who have the skills and willingness to reach across discipline boundaries in both teaching and research. All Montclair State University faculty provide service to the department, university and larger professional community.

Qualifications & Requirements

Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or Criminology, with a specialization in corrections/penology.

Applicants are expected to possess excellent teaching skills, maintain an active research agenda in the area of penology, and hold a PhD in Criminal Justice and or Criminology at the time of appointment.

Salary Range
Dependent on qualifications.
