Non-Credit Instructor - T/Th
Provide learner-centered instruction for basic literacy and math through high school equivalency/college readiness skills in reading, writing, math computation, applied math, science and social studies in preparation for taking the 2014 GED® exam. Develop lesson plans to prepare adult learners to pass the 2014 GED® exam. Create individual education plans for each learner. Instruct students one-on-one and in small groups. Guide and supervise ongoing study. Engage community volunteers to assist with one-on-one instruction with learners. Create reports and maintain records. Participate in professional development opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong math and English skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
- Experience developing individual education plans
- Previous experience teaching high school equivalency skills to adult learners, specifically GED® preparation
- Demonstrated ability to create lesson plans designed to prepare adult learners to pass the 2014 GED® exam
