Adjunct Instructors - IDEAS Program - Innovation & Entrepreneurship Courses
The IDEAS program at Stevens Institute of Technology is seeking a pool of qualified applicants for possible temporary part-time teaching assignments. Adjunct positions are on a semester-by-semester contract basis. Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract. Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students. Adjunct faculty will be responsible for teaching one or more undergraduate courses in a manner consistent with the specific course content description. Adjunct faculty are expected to hold office hours appropriate for the course(s) being taught. Assignments may include day or evening courses and will be in person at our Hoboken Campus.
As staffing needs arise, our Director will review the pool and contact those applicants they are interested in interviewing. There are also times that adjunct faculty are needed to fill a last minute voids as well. As this is for a pool of applicants, it may take time before you hear anything.
The IDEAS program integrates learning and technical design with entrepreneurial thinking to create an environment that fosters innovation. It helps students look beyond technical problems to identify and address problems with entrepreneurial and humanitarian value and substantial societal impact. The program coordinates the design spine courses including the capstone senior design and the academic entrepreneurial experiences.
