Systems Administrator, Int., Education Technology Consortm #603184

Northern Arizona University’s Education Technology Consortm is currently seeking a full time Systems Administrator, Int., to install, configure, secure, and maintain ETC Application Services hardware and software including virtualization and SQL server backend. Work cooperatively with vendor technical staff of ETC hosted applications as well as site-based technical staff of hosting clients to apply software updates, apply bug fixes and software patches, and ensure performance is as expected. Capture and send database backups to vendors as requested by clients and acts as the principal designer for major systems and their subsystems utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs. Perform custom programming as needed, provide tier 1 & 2 support for network and server issues, and provide user support for hosting related problems with applications and access. Configure and support Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Server farms. Provide technical analysis and troubleshooting of published applications in Citrix, including printing, speed, local resource redirection, etc. Along with managing licensure for SQL, Citrix, and Microsoft software utilized in Application Services, and manage SSL certificates and domain name registrations.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should have an Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field, and two years of systems and/or programming experience. Or an Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, and one year of systems and programming experience, or three years of systems and/or programming experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.

Annual Salary:  Commensurate with experience.
