The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant, Associate, and/or Full Professor positions in either the non-tenure clinician-educator track or the tenure track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Primary Care, Family Medicine, and/or Community Health with a focus on population health, healthcare delivery research, practice transformation, population-based research, disease prevention and treatment, and/or community-based research. Responsibilities include a combination of research and educational duties pertinent to background and experience. Teaching responsibilities/opportunities will be expected with residents and medical students. For MD candidates, there is the opportunity to provide outpatient clinical care in the department's new state-of-the-art clinical space. Applicants must have an M.D and/or Ph.D or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and research.

The Department’s Center for Community and Population Health in the Division of Community Health will galvanize research related to community health and population health in the Perelman School of Medicine with a goal to reduce health disparities. Cornerstones of the Center are the Mixed Methods Research Lab (MMRL) and a Center for Integrated Behavioral Health in Primary Care (CBHPC). MMRL fosters the use of novel qualitative and mixed methods research methodologies with a focus on integrating key stakeholder perspectives and goals into research designs. CBHPC engages advocacy groups, consumers of mental health services and other stakeholders to develop and disseminate best practices to increase access to mental health services by integrating behavioral health into primary care.
