Job Summary: The Assistant Director will provide undergraduate academic advising and oversee the student probation process. This is a full-time, exempt position located on the Chicago campus. This position reports to the Director of Academic Advising.

Working Hours:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: A Masters degree in a related field. A minimum of 2 years experience in a college environment working with student development or academic advising and knowledge of student support services. Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt's core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors. A positive and professional demeanor is a must. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree preferred in Academic Advising or Higher Education Administration. Familiarity with Ellucian/Banner ERP Student Module preferred. Knowledge of retention strategies. 3-5 years working in a higher education setting.
