Job Description
1st Light Energy, a groundbreaking company on a mission to make renewable energy accessible to all homeowners is looking for a self-starter to grow our outreach events team for Community Solar. Community Solar takes a large-scale solar array - think lots of panels in a field - and shares the energy credits across 100-200 participating homeowners. We are bringing solar to the ~80% of homeowners who can't get solar panels on their roof (due to shade, type of roof, etc.). The Outreach Events Manager is responsible for building a team that generates customer interest through tabling at community events (e.g., farmer's markets, local retail point-of-sale). The primary goals for this position are to develop partnerships with community organizations to host these events and to build a top-notch team of event representatives to attend these events. This position will be an integral part of our management team, and will work with both the VP of Sales and CEO.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong track record of growing and improving their teams. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt well with change as this is a new division.

What You'll Do
Develop a network of partner organizations to host recurring community events
Manage an Events Coordinator in the scheduling of local non-recurring events
Recruit and train top-notch event representatives
Continually refine and adapt the event script and customer engagement process
Work with the management team to set production goals and plan the growth of the team
Identify gap areas for budget and customer experience and make recommendations to drive improvement

What We're Looking For
Track record in building, growing and improving a team
Relationship management and communication skills to manage B2B relationships with our partner organizations
Understanding of B2C consumer mindset
Ability to organize and prioritize time in a fast-paced environment
Access to a reliable vehicle is required to effectively manage and train a mobile workforce
