Summary of Duties:
A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the Sun lab in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, College of Medicine, Washington State University, Spokane, WA. By using Caenorhabditis elegans as a genetic model organism, research in the Sun lab focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neural regulation of immunity and aging.

This position is located in Spokane, WA.

Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in a related field of biology (e.g. genetics, neuroscience, molecular biology, immunology).

Ability to generate transgenic animals from design to cloning to microinjection to integration.

Previous experience with molecular biology techniques (DNA, RNA, protein).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to lead a research project from design stages to data analysis, figure preparation and manuscript writing.

Highly motivated and a passion for scientific research.

Strong organization and time management skills.

Meticulous attention to detail.

Eligible to work/train in the United States.
