Academic Fiscal Affairs Manager
Provides advanced level coordination of business affairs of the units within Academic Affairs. Facilitates compliance of transactions with established policies and procedures of the University; develops and facilitates business units' financial policies and procedures; monitors purchasing card activity; serves as primary liaison to other campus entities such as Human Resources (HR), Office of Finance and Accounting (OFA), Office of Procurement Contracting (OPC), etc.; prepares department budget amendment requests; reviews and approves travel reports; coordinates personnel actions for faculty and staff; works extensively with the Office of Budget and Planning, OFA, OPC, HR/Payroll in coordinating the financial activities of assigned units.
Develops, implements and oversees programs and services in assigned office, college, division or department; be responsible for the oversight of operations and maintenance of said office, college, division or department.
Responsible for developing and enhancing reports used by senior Academic Affairs (AAF) administrators for strategic decision-making.In this capacity, this position is responsible for supporting administrators by acquiring, synthesizing, and reporting relevant information.This position is also responsible for working with other Business Managers in developing reports to improve information flow and decision-making.This position must work closely with Enterprise Information Management (EIM) to identify key improvement areas and develop college-wide reporting solutions.In this role, this position is responsible for working with other Business Managers in identifying both college-specific and AAF-wide process improvements.
Provide additional and more advanced training and development to new and existing Business Managers, including but not limited to, more advanced financial analysis using new and existing tools; and, act as a consultant to develop more processes and procedures that are efficient across AAF.Assist in training and adoption of new tools rolled out for use within AAF by OFA and other campus entities. Position requires driving to multi-campus locations and event sites.
Assist AAF Financial Officer:
Provide financial analysis services and reports to the AAF Financial Officer for all units within AAF.Development of special reports from PeopleSoft Financials through SAS.Serve as backup to the Fiscal Affairs Officer for PeopleAdmin and faculty ad requests approvals.Assist Fiscal Affairs Officer with data acquisition, synthesis and analysis to support leadership decisions.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience (may require some specialized skill sets/training)
Preferred qualifications: Proficient in SAS, Excel, and PeopleSoft systems. Advanced knowledge of State of Georgia and University System of Georgia Board of Regents regulations and procedures. Knowledge of University System accounting and regulatory practices. Advanced knowledge in data analysis and training development.
