The Director of Integrated Communications leads a dynamic team of creative professionals to tell the University brand story and enhance our reputation by engaging audiences across multiple platforms, digital and print, across owned, earned and paid media channels. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the Communications & Public Affairs leadership team, working with the Chief Communications Officer and Director of Brand Strategy to inform the brand strategy, content strategy and visual identity, then execute those strategies through the management of multiple interdisciplinary Brand Teams consisting of marketing, public relations, new media and design professionals as well as academic unit communications managers. Additionally, the Director builds and enhances the University brand image through oversight of advertising, marketing communications and the development of integrated communications plans for academic units as well as coordination of the Campus Communicators Network.
The Director of Integrated Communications has a passion for creative, engaging storytelling, particularly through digital platforms including web and social media; an enthusiasm for enhancing a national brand; a desire to advance the cause of public higher education; a creative curiosity; and, a commitment to life-long learning and professional development.
Bachelor's degree and eight years of progressive experience working in integrated communications, marketing communications, digital media production, public relations or a related communications field with three years of management experience.
