Job Summary: Roosevelt University, College of Pharmacy, Schaumburg, IL, is seeking applications for a full-time year-round Associate Professor/Professor who will also serve as Associate Dean. The position is non-tenure track and renews annually. This position reports to the Dean and includes 80% administrative service responsibilities and 20% teaching/scholarship. Administrative responsibilities: Work collaboratively with administrative and academic departments on all assigned duties. Support various efforts of the Dean's office, including dual degree pathways, accreditation, alumni outreach, and recruitment of students from underrepresented groups. Provide curricular leadership with a focus on: Co-curricular/student professional and leadership development. Interprofessional education in the didactic curriculum. Current and developing pedagogical models and effective use of technology in clinical education. Serve as a liaison to the Roosevelt University College of Arts and Sciences for the Early Admission program to ensure a smooth transition of students from the undergraduate program to the College of Pharmacy. Create block schedules each term and complete tasks related to course scheduling and student registration in conjunction with the RU Registrar's office. Handle concerns of students in academic or behavioral difficulty. Serve as representative of the Dean at College, University and professional functions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean. Faculty responsibilities: Teach and coordinate a didactic or elective course or the equivalent. Serve on Curriculum Committee, and IT and Professional Development Committee and other committees as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: The successful candidate will have an academic record that warrants appointment at the level of Associate Professor or Professor. He/she will possess superior teaching skills, demonstrate effective communication skills and a commitment to interprofessional practice and education, and a record of effective scholarship. The candidate will demonstrate a proven record of successful administration in a College of Pharmacy, as well as a commitment to professional collaboration. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience in academic leadership in a college of pharmacy and a strong record of scholarship in pedagogical research.
