The Sprott Department of Surgery, Division of Urology at University Health Network is inviting applications for the position of Uro-Oncologist.

The effective date of this appointment is July 1, 2017.

The successful candidate will possess a strong track record in clinical care, research and teaching. Specifically, the candidate must have completed a graduate degree and demonstrated scholarly activity. The candidate must be eligible for appointment as Assistant Professor rank in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto. The candidate must have completed a Urologic Oncology fellowship and demonstrated aptitude for open and minimally invasive surgery. Ideally, the candidate should have experience in prostate cancer focal therapy. Clinically, the successful candidate will manage all aspects of Uro-oncology with a multi-disciplinary team at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. This role also involves training residents and fellows, as well as medical students. An aptitude for teaching is an important quality for this position.

The position will involve a 40% research and 60% clinical split. The candidate must have, or be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as well as licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

The Division of Urology is comprised of 8 full-time clinical faculty members, within multiple UHN Programs, offering clinical care in the areas of oncology, voiding dysfunction and transplantation.
