Lecturer in Architecture
The School of Architecture at the University of Kentucky's College of Design seeks applicants for a full-time lecturer position with expertise in one or more of the following categories: design; sustainability-oriented design; computation; digital fabrication and visualization; building technology. Experience teaching core curriculum courses is desirable. The assignment will begin on August 16, 2017 and will include an initial 2-year appointment with an option for renewal based upon performance reviews.
All faculty at the School of Architecture support the design centered curriculum by applying research, professional, and creative expertise to innovative studio, seminar, and/or lecture course offerings. The School seeks candidates who have an agenda of scholarly research and/or creative work and who are committed to professional, scholarly, and teaching excellence. Teaching loads may vary from semester to semester. As a land-grant institution, university and professional service are an expectation.
The School of Architecture grants the NAAB accredited professional degree in architecture through undergraduate and graduate coursework. The College of Design also includes the School of Interiors and the Department of Historic Preservation.
