Clinical Informatics Analyst (Falls Church, VA)
The candidate will conduct research and perform analysis to support a variety of clinic practices initiatives, such as provider profiling, provider productivity, panel size designation/determination, referral pattern analysis, utilization of ancillary services and related activities. Provide analytical support regarding the integration, access and development of data to support the documentation, comparative analysis and outcomes analysis necessary to demonstrate the efficacy of clinical pathways designed and implemented with a hospital or MTFs. The contractor will use/develop predictive models for improving clinical operations and evaluate clinical currency, efficiency, and productivity.
Minimum Requirements Include: a) Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Informatics, or a clinical field of study
b) Experience in clinical decision support, to include developing and executing reports from largeclinical data setsc. Expert knowledge of relational database software; experience in applied statistics using SAS, SQL or other statistical programs. Prior experience implementing or supporting clinical information systems (CHCS, AHLTA, and/or Essentris experience preferred, but not required)e. Access to the following AFMS/MHS information systems for the purpose of data mining/development/analysis: MHS Mart (M2)f. Ability to gain access to the following AFMS/MHS information systems: CHCS, AHLTA, Essentris, PDTS, TMDS, MEPRS/DMHRSi, EAS IV, TPOCS/ABACUS, AFCHIPS, HSDW, and other applicable systems as developed.
Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance.
