Residential Journeyman Electrician

Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a journeyman electrician
• Proven experience with high-end custom residential projects both new and remodel
• Ability to comprehend building plans, drawings and other specifications required by our client
• Experience working with and a knowledge of federal, state, and local building and electrical codes and requirements
• Professionally and technically competent with ability to document electrical actions by completing production and quality logs as requested
• Possess a high standard of integrity and professionalism
• Detail oriented, organized and dedicated to providing high quality work and service
• A self-starting, highly motivated and goal oriented focus
• Very organized with a systematic approach to tasks to achieve accuracy and efficiency
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, including ability to work in a team environment and take instruction
• Must be POSITIVE and be able to motivate others
• Ability to demonstrate the initiative to make a project happen, not let the project dictate what happens
• Ability to search out the most reasonable cost
• Ability to anticipate problems and create solutions
• A valid USA driver's license and ability to travel for work
• Provide own hand tools
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities
• Perform electrical installation, service and repair for new and remodeled high-end residential homes
• Interpret blueprints/plans/specifications to determine requirements for construction and calculate materials needed
• Plan layout/installation of electrical wiring/equipment/fixtures based on job need, specs, local codes and client's requests
• Install, inspect, repair, wire and maintain a variety of electrical systems and equipment
• Inspect and evaluate electrical equipment to ensure that it operates efficiently and safely; determine whether equipment and new installations meet requirement of the National Electrical Code
• Connect wires to plugs, switches, controls, light fixtures, appliances, panels, and switchboards
• Locate and diagnose electrical system problems using test equipment
• Disassemble/repair and reassemble/replace defective electrical equipment
• Ensure materials used/workmanship meet requirements of applicable technical/safety standards, conform with original plans and will pass inspection
• Comply with federal, state, and local building and electrical codes by enforcing adherence to requirements
• Keep Company's equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures
• Maintain electrical supplies, anticipate needs, place and expedite supply orders, verify/submit supply receipts for billing
• Conserve electrical resources by only using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Document electrical actions by completing production and quality logs as requested
• Maintain work to specified schedule, identify/report problems proactively to superintendent and suggest solutions
• Contribute to team effort, maintain positive relationships with employees, sub-contractors, and suppliers
• Assign work to apprentices, and/or helpers as needed
• Other duties as assigned
• Must be willing to travel
