Post-Doctoral Fellow



Overall Description of Responsibility or Nature of Work:

The department of Dermatology is seeking a full-time post-doctoral fellow and the position is available immediately. The research involves the study of diseases involved in pigment cells, including melanoma and inherited pigmentation disorders. The laboratory has established cell culture, mice, and patient-specific iPSC models for these studies. The candidate will use these models to conduct mechanistic investigation to understand the functions of a novel pigmentation gene and to identify therapies for these diseases.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate will have a PhD or equivalent degree in cell biology, developmental biology, molecular biology, immune biology, or a closely related field from an accredited university. Experience in cell and molecular biology is required and experience with handling mice is highly desirable.
