Department Overview
The Teacher Education and Administration Department prepares teachers and administrators for school leadership roles. The department prepares teacher in many fields, at elementary and secondary levels, and has one of the largest teacher preparation programs in the state. In addition, the program prepares principals and superintendents and offers degrees at the undergraduate, master''s and doctoral levels. The Accelerated Online master's Program in Educational leadership provides skilled instruction in an online environment.

Job Description
The Teacher Education & Administration Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist III to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
* Receptionist duties.
* Processing travel.
* Stipends, purchase orders
* Student worker positions.
* Graduate assistantship applications.
* Process letters.
* Help coordinate College Day.
* Purchase items for the department and food for department meetings, take minutes at department meetings, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent and three years of general office or clerical experience. Substitution of education for experience allowed. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:
* Basic MS Office skills.
* Ability to problem-solve and make decisions.
* Ability to effectively communicate.
* Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
* Skill in composing routine letters and preparing reports.
* Skill in recording and compiling material for reports.
