    Postdoctoral Scholar: L3 (Language, Literacy, and Learning) Lab

    We are seeking a qualified, highly motivated postdoctoral fellow in the School of Education at the University of California Irvine. The postdoctoral scholar will contribute to federally funded projects investigating children's language, reading, and writing development, and will be responsible for managing studies (e.g., recruiting and working with schools, training and supervising research staff on project-related activities) as well as data analysis, and dissemination efforts. The projects are led by Dr. Young-Suk Kim in collaboration with colleagues.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Ph.D. in Education, Psychology, or Communication Disorders
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Excellent data analysis skills
    • Knowledge in language and literacy development
    • Knowledge and experience in school-based research

    • Experience in working with linguistically, economically, and racially/economically diverse populations

    The initial appointment will be for one year, renewable after the first year pending funding. Expected start date is July 1st, 2017. However, if necessary, modifications are possible. This position has an annual salary starting of $52,000.
