RESEARCH TECHNICIAN II
Medicine - Hematology

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Seeking a highly motivated individual to assist with development of a novel engineering platform for detection of blood components; engineering or technical background desirable but not essential
  • Learn instrumentation relevant to biomedical engineering applications of whole blood analysis
  • Perform complex immunoassays using ELISA, flow cytometry
  • Assist with IRB preparation, documentation
  • Assist with collection, processing of clinical samples
  • Perform other laboratory or data management duties, including laboratory maintenance tasks, as requested by the Principal Investigator or senior lab staff
  • Experience in flow cytometry and confocal microscopy preferred, but not essential.

  • Education, Skills, & Experience:

    Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in biology, biomedical or mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Laboratory experience is helpful
  • Must be detail-oriented, well organized and approach procedures with critical thinking of the technical aspects with strong communication skills and ability to work in an interactive team environment.
