Occupational Summary
Independently coordinate and implement assigned projects essential to the successful implementation and management of Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) strategic goals and objectives. Perform a variety of duties involved in the organization, documentation, compilation, evaluation and assimilation of data specific to assigned projects.Provide high-level support and analytical services to department senior management (i.e. COO, Directors, Associate Directors).

Work Performed
Plan, coordinate and execute assigned projects designed to assist in the accomplishment of DCRI objectives, including in support of operational excellence and optimization and quality across DCRI. Support management, team members and relevant stakeholders in the development of plans, time lines, processes and content for projects supporting DCRI strategic goals and objectives. Support a wide range of domain-based planning and program evaluation and execution.
Prepare narrative and analytical reports, documents, and correspondence regarding assigned projects for COO, department management and team, and participating departments.
Manage logistics for all Executive Meetings, as well as other administrative project meetings, including organizing agenda and content.
Review, digest and analyze data and meeting content to:
Identify and note and/or map dependencies, actions, decisions, needs, risks, issues, etc. across the meeting venues
Create action plan for communicating the above to relevant meeting attendees across the meeting venues and/or other relevant stakeholders
Track and follow up on the actions to the agreed action plan Maintain liaison with all levels of management, staff, faculty, and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate department business, accomplish directives and facilitate the resolution of problems. Support development and maintenance of COO department systems, processes and technology as directed and assigned.

Minimum Qualifications


Education

Bachelor's degree. Additional training in Project Management coursework or certification in Project Management is desired.

Experience

Four years of progressively responsible experience in project management, including complex projects involving multiple functional groups. Experience in medical education/publishing, clinical research, or medical product development is desired.
