Posting Summary:
The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia is seeks candidates for a Lab Specialist 2 to perform a variety of pre and post wound healing and implantation surgeries on small animals. The lab specialist will also be responsible for performing embedding/sectioning and basic histology stains, laboratory maintenance, maintaining mouse colonies, preparing stock solutions, and organizing and assisting the PI with current animal protocols.

Candidates must hold a BS in Biology or closely related field. Candidates should have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience working in a research laboratory. Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
