The University of Virginia Department of Sociology seeks applications to fill non-tenure track Instructional positions during the 2017-2018 academic year. Teaching load will be a minimum of one, but no more than four, course(s) during the academic year based on need, and at the discretion of the department chair. Subject areas of particular need include, but are not limited to, sociology of culture, theory, stratification, family, gender, comparative-historical, political, religion, media, health, law, and education. Compensation will take the form of wages. A terminal degree is expected but not required. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching.
