The University of North Texas Library is seeking to hire a Metadata Coordinator to join our Special Collections team. The Metadata Coordinator will oversee, plan and implement digital metadata creation for multiple ongoing archival digital projects in Special Collections.Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Supervise the work of at least one full time employee and multiple student positions.* Act as a central coordinator for metadata projects directly supervised by others in the department.* Responsible for coordinating metadata creation as a part of the overall plan for development, production and completion of digital projects.* Set project goals and report on progress towards meeting goals and deadlines.* Responsible for project oversight, including oversight of student wage budgets and sponsored project funding.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and two years of progressively responsible library experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
