The Department of Surgery has an opening for a full-time, University Staff (unclassified) Business Services Professional position.

Jobs in this career family provide general business operations of the organization or a combination of operational responsibilities covering multiple career families. Functions include institutional research, statistical analysis, policy development and review, strategic planning and broad unit business operations such as parking and transportation services, risk management, childcare services, real estate and property management, retail services or job responsibilities that combine fiscal, HR and operational management responsibilities.
Professionals at the entry level are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic, administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field.
At the entry level, duties are limited in scope and are performed with guidance and direction from other professionals and are performed in a training and development capacity.
The Business Services Professional (1.0 FTE) carries out duties related to the business, human resources and operational needs of the Division of Pediatric Surgery, Department of Surgery. Working under the direction of the Division Manager, this Business Services Professional will conduct business office functions primarily in support of human resources, including: recruiting and onboarding; communication; credentialing; as well as payroll and time collection for faculty and research positions. This position will also coordinate and carry out duties related to moves and relocations, space, equipment, inventory, expense reimbursement, and general operations.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.

A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, Human Resources, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

- Successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado.
- Be willing and able to pass a criminal and sex offender background check.
- Experience working in a large complex public institution, higher education, healthcare or health sciences center environment.
- Experience working with any variety of additional computer programs relevant to finance, budgeting, patient accounting or other business areas (ex. PeopleSoft, Cognos, CBI, AX, etc.).
- Experience working with standard accounting policies and procedures.
- Two (2) ore more years' of professional experience working in an academic institution with hospital clinic support.

- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
