The VTR Project Manager will conduct all data collection procedures outlined in study protocols for Cancer Registry Biospecimen Research. This position will participate in meetings, training activities, and conference calls as requested with Principal Investigators, Project Directors, and Study Personnel to develop biospecimen research studies using KCR data. The VTR Project Manager will identify study subjects with tissue in KY path labs, define best practices to obtain biospecimens for research, prepare periodic reports, conduct medical chart reviews, and perform custom annotation of data items specified by study protocols. Job duties include: Conduct pathology surveys, retrieve biospecimens as needed, communicate with healthcare facilities to plan, organize, and schedule site visits for the purpose of abstracting/coding cancer information for study data variables. Travel throughout KY to healthcare facilities to review various medical record systems for cancer data collection.
