Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Research Associate 2. Incumbent will be responsible for the design and conduct of research into the pathogenesis of human hematologic malignancies. This candidate will work independently designing, carrying out, and critiquing experiments. This individual will have a working knowledge of molecular biology, cellular biology, biochemistry, or mouse modeling of human cancer. He /she will be able to perform well controlled, complex laboratory assays relevant to the study of human cancer. This person must be able to work as part of a team and take direction from the Post Doctoral Associates as well as Assistant and Associate Scientists. Performs other duties as assigned. The minimum requirements are: M.S. degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, Life Science and/or other related field. Five plus years of laboratory experience performing non-routine and complex laboratory duties requiring advanced technical skills and proficiency. Must be able to work as part of a team and take direction from the Post Doctoral Associates as well as Assistant and Associate Scientists. Excellent skills in Computer and English (both verbal and written) required. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
