Summary of Position:
The postdoctoral fellowship will support a full time, time-limited salaried PhD level fellow position at MARBIONC. The successful candidate will work within an interdisciplinary university/corporate laboratory environment. Goals of the project include bioassay development and drug discovery/development from marine sources.

Minimum Requirements:
PhD in Organic Chemistry, Bio-organic chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using click chemistry, organic synthesis techniques, bio-organic chemistry, conjugation of pharmaceuticals and natural products.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The Center for Marine Science at UNC Wilmington is dedicated to providing an environment that fosters a multidisciplinary approach to questions in basic marine research.
The mission of the center is to promote basic and applied research in the fields of oceanography, coastal and wetland studies, marine biomedical and environmental physiology, and marine biotechnology and aquaculture.
