  ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience within State guidelines

HOURS: Flexible: Daytime, Varies

CAMPUS: Barton and Brashier and off site clinical locations  

In this challenging role, you will support the Nursing Department at Greenville Technical College.   Duties may include any or all of the following:

-Assist students in the classroom clinical/campus lab to acquire knowledge, psychomotor skills, and affective skills necessary to pass the licensure exam and entry to practice

-Collaborates with Course Coordinator/ Team Leader to ensure teaching and learning activities meet course objectives. 

-Facilitates appropriate clinical/lab experiences in general Medical-Surgical and specialty areas including Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Obstetrics.  

-Appropriately refers students to available resources to ensure student success. 

-Effectively evaluates students in clinical/lab. 

-Provides prompt/timely feedback of written work. 

-Maintains up-to-date mandatory requirements outlined by the Nursing Department. 

-Participates in professional development activities to maintain license. 

- Role models professional behaviors with other faculty, nursing staff, patients, significant others, and students. 

-Majority of student evaluations are positive.

Current, unencumbered, active RN license in South Carolina or another compact state, MSN or currently enrolled in a MSN program, two years in an acute care setting with a strong clinical background, and have been actively involved in providing direct nursing care in an acute care setting within the past 5 years. 

Previous teaching experience in a nursing program is preferred.
