University Advancement is currently hiring a Business Services Manager.

The Business Services Manager is responsible for working with division leadership, internal and external stakeholders, and staff of all levels to conceptualize and execute successful business strategies in the areas of facilities management, onboarding & orientation of new staff, and business processes (including purchasing and policy compliance). In close collaboration with partners within the division and across Grounds, develops and continuously evolves policies/guidelines, systems, programs, and services that build organizational effectiveness and strategic capability.

This position plays a key role in shaping and executing the division's business operations strategy. He/she will be responsible for leading business process improvement, developing and delivering industry-leading programs, services, and business solutions and overseeing the various University Advancement facility operations. This role is known for providing exceptional and consistent service; producing highly credible evidence-based work; and employing data based analysis to eliminate ineffective programming and services and ensures limited resources are applied to the right initiatives.

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of supervisory and business management experience. He/she will have a demonstrated skill in seeking and using resources and information to solve problems; an ability to develop strategies in collaboration with peers, subject matter experts, and staff in central administrative units of UVA; ability to manage up and provide counsel and advice to leadership as needed to advance the program; cultivate, collaborate and maintain relationships with colleagues across Grounds; ability to cultivate strong relationships across organizations and coach, mentor, and motivate; success establishing and achieving team and individual goals; and a proven ability in hiring, supervising, evaluating and driving results in a high-caliber team.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and a demonstrated record of success leading change, identifying best practices in business processes and facilities management.
