The Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Virginia seeks two Program Coordinators to work with research partners within the US Military to coordinate program development and data collection efforts. As part of the research team, the program coordinator contributes advice about best methods to collect data in a military setting; plans and directs the coordination of recruitment, consenting of participants, data collection, delivery of intervention and review and collection of data; coordinates training requirements needed by research staff; ensures appropriate scheduling of support staff to maintain work flow demands; and coordinate information systems requirements with University and Air Force.

Candidates must have a Masters degree with 3 year related research experience, including consenting study participants, providing behavioral counseling, and working with research databases. Experience to include association with the military is also strongly preferred; OR
- Baccalaureate degree with 5 years related experience as above; OR
- Combination of college course work and (military) work experience to equal 8 years

Excellent oral and written communication skills are expected. Candidates must have the ability to work independently and with military agencies. The ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time, and skills in handling and manipulating data, are required. Experience in a military environment is strongly preferred.

These are restricted positions contingent upon the continued availability of funding. Positions will remain open until filled.
