LCMS Laboratory Tech
Position base in Plano, Texas
An LCMSMS technologist is needed for a toxicology laboratory in Dallas/Fort Worth area. The lab is performing urine toxicology drug screening and confirmation testing in urine and oral fluids as well as VITD testing in serum.
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or closely related field, plus a minimum of one year specific training in clinical toxicology drug testing. Method development and validation experience and a Master's degree are preferred.
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or equivalent, is a plus. Candidate will be asked to demonstrate basic knowledge of LCMSMS during the interview.
Must be a US citizen or eligible to work in the US for any employer. No sponsorship will be provided.
The selected candidate must have strong fundamentals in separation science/chromatography. Previous experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and up keep of Agilent 6460 LCMSMS systems is highly preferred but experience in other platforms like AB SCIEX and Shimadzu will be considered.
Demonstrated attention to detail, team work, critical decision making skills, good communication skills, ability to teach and instruct other employees on all aspects of drug testing laboratory procedures is expected.
