The Office of Disability Accommodation (ODA) at the University of North Texas exists to prevent discrimination on the basis of disability and to help students reach a higher level of independence.

Job Description
The Office of Disability Accommodations Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Student Services Coordinator II to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Oversee and manage text conversion process for students.
* Implement assistive/adaptive technology in disability accommodations.
* Maintains calendar and records of all assistive technology (AT) and text conversion requests.
* Consults with or counsels all students needing accommodations for visual disability.
* Communicate with university faculty and staff, and respond to concerns or questions as they arise.
* Supervise part-time student staff in the text conversion area of the office.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Master's Degree in related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Previous experience working with students with disabilities, specifically with a vision disability.
* Previous experience with text conversion on a university campus.
* Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
* Familiarity with assistive/adaptive technologies.
* Knowledge of ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
* Some experience supervising student employees.
