Job Summary: Skidmore College invites applications for the position of Advancement Marketing Manager, a new role in the Office of Communications and Marketing. The Advancement Marketing Manager will be responsible for crafting messages and coordinating marketing that effectively reaches and engages Skidmore alumni and donors. This person will also plan and prioritize support for the Office of Advancement's fundraising, stewardship, and engagement efforts.

The successful candidate will have a strong command of written language within the context of development functions at a college, university, or similar institution. He or she must also be a proven project manager and strategic thinker with the ability to interpret data and analytics against industry trends and best practice.

Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, Philanthropy Management or related field of study, with 5+ years in development or fundraising communications field. Experience collaborating with teams of creative contributors, such as designers, photographers, copy editors, etc. Exemplary command of written language across print, digital and multimedia platforms with an eye for accuracy, detail and proofing. Experience writing persuasive copy and messages for various, diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to interpret data and metrics. Technological acumen to learn new systems and software.

Preferred Qualifications: Masters in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, Philanthropy Management or related field of study

Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 commensurate with experience
