Math & Science Center Supervisor, Summer 2nd session, 2017
The summer supervisor provides tutorial assistance to students who are enrolled in math/statistics/physical science/computer science/biology courses, as well as supervises student tutors. The Summer 2nd Session Supervisor must interact effectively with students and faculty, under the supervision of the Mathematics and Computer Sciences Department Chair.
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology required. An ability to tutor math and statistics is required. An ability to tutor science subjects is preferred. Teaching experience is preferred.
This temporary part time position is covered under a collective bargaining agreement between the College and Dutchess United Educators. The Summer 2nd Session Supervisor is required to work Wednesday July 5th through Thursday August 10th, and the hours each week are 10:00 am until 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday for a total of 132 hours paid at the contractual hourly rate of $27.50 per hour.
