Job Description
Under general supervision, the incumbent performs routine and some specialized institutional custodial tasks following University policies and procedures, applicable standards, safety codes, and OSHA regulations.


Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma and 1 year experience in industrial/institutional housekeeping/custodial services; or 10th grade education and 3 years experience in industrial/institutional housekeeping/custodial services; or equivalency.

Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Successful candidate will have the following:

Knowledge of safety practices relevant to the area of employment. Skill in the use of cleaning supplies and equipment. Skill in the safe operation of power cleaning equipment. Ability to learn and apply correct departmental product application procedures. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to keep accurate written records. Ability to guide and train other employees. Knowledge of how to properly carry out custodial tasks. Knowledge of safety practices relevant to the area of employment. Skill in the use of cleaning supplies and equipment. Skill in the safe operation of power cleaning equipment. Ability to learn and apply correct departmental product application procedures. Ability to follow instructions.
